Message from President and Representative Director Takashi Matsuoka of chromocenter Inc.
Humans have been using bio-production technology, such as fermentation, since ancient times, and more advanced techniques have been achieved in recent years with the development of cell fusion and gene recombination technologies.
To expand this field further into the future, we successfully developed the world’s most advanced cell improvement technology by combining the following: (1) Chromosomal engineering technology (artificial chromosome vector: patents acquired worldwide) at Tottori University graduate school; (2) cell production science at Osaka University graduate school (Osaka Higher Technical School Brewery Department established in 1896, currently the Department of Biotechnology, Division of Advanced Science and Biotechnology, Osaka University Graduate School of Engineering); (3) chromosome manipulation techniques at Kyushu University graduate school; and (4) our proprietary technology.
Based on this success, our proprietary technology to produce cells under a design philosophy is embodied, and we can draw out potential biological functions in a more advanced manner, as well as more quickly and effectively. By using this technology in industrial applications, we are promoting the creation of new possibilities in the economy and society.
In addition, we have reached the highest level in the world in cell evaluation technology. At our company, we accept not only the evaluation of cells for substance production, but also for normality/abnormality judgment of iPS cells for regenerative medicine from all over the country, and the monoclonality evaluation of production cells of biopharmaceuticals is recognized globally.
Based on these advanced technologies, we aim to provide trusted, safe, and high-quality pharmaceutical products as early as possible for many people affected by diseases, and we pledge to contribute day and night to support the development and manufacture of medicines with our globally unique cell production technology.
In the future, we will make new proposals that merge with technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of things (IoT), as well as proposals to extend the application range of this technology to health, industry, and agriculture in order to play a part in the industrial revolution of a new era. All of our staff members will continue to make our best efforts for the future.
